HeatWiseSW provides independent advice on air source heat pumps, underfloor heating and solar for homeowners in Devon and Cornwall. We do not install systems ourselves. We help you understand realistic options and, if you ask, introduce you to carefully selected local installers.

2. What information we collect

When you use our Planning Passport or request an installer introduction, we may collect:

• Name, email address and phone number
• Postcode and property details
• Project information you choose to provide (for example current heating system, timing and notes)

We also collect limited technical information through analytics (see Cookies section below).

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Generate your Planning Passport and cost estimates
• Review your project
• Introduce you to up to three vetted local installers who cover your area (only when you request this)
• Improve the accuracy and usefulness of the service

We do not use your details for general marketing lists.

4. Lawful bases for processing

We only process your personal data where UK data protection law allows it. The main bases we rely on are:

• Consent — when you choose to submit your contact details, request a personal review of your project, or ask us to introduce you to local installers. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
• Legitimate interests — to operate, secure and improve the Planning Passport and website, and to understand how the site is used so we can make the advice more useful, provided these interests do not override your rights.
• Steps needed to respond to your request — for planning numbers or advice on your home.

For non-essential cookies used by Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads we obtain consent where the law requires it.

5. Sharing your information

If you request installer introductions, we will share the relevant project and contact details with up to three carefully selected local installers who cover your area.

We only share your information for this specific purpose. We do not sell your data to third parties or marketing companies.

After the introductions have been made, we delete your contact details.

6. How long we keep your data

• Contact details used for installer introductions are deleted after the introductions have been completed (normally within 30 days).
• Anonymised project information (with personal identifiers removed) may be kept longer so we can improve the service.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete your information
• Object to certain types of processing
• Withdraw consent where we rely on it
